If you’re like me, and don’t enjoy drinking plenty of water a day, these ice cubes will add a sweet flavour and give you a reason to drink up! (Plus added nutrients!) I have played around with a few ingredients but found these two recipes to be my favourite.
Prep Time: 5 Mins (Overnight for freezing)
Mojito Icecubes
You’ll need:
Lemons, Limes, Fresh Mint
How to:
I used a squeezer to get fresh lemon and lime juice, the quantity depends on your ice cube tray size. I also added a bit of water to top it up.
For the mint, I sliced it repeatedly and then crushed it with a fork, adding it to my juice.
I put this aside and moved onto my next tray.
Berry Coconut Ice Cubes
You’ll need:
Berries of your choice, coconut water
How to:
I crushed my berries with a fork while they were already in the coconut water to begin.
If you want these pieces in your cubes then you can skip the next step of draining the remains out. I decided to do this for smooth ice cubes and I find it easier to drink in water.
I took the water that I strained and poured it into my ice cube tray. I was left with these two waiting to freeze!
I let them sit overnight to freeze and then put them into a bowl for serving- perfect summer BBQ idea! I also love the long ice cubes for water bottles, I got this tray at IKEA.
